INL - International Iberian nanotechnology laboratory

INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, is the first, and so far the only, fully international research organization in Europe in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. I

NL is an international intergovernmental research organization with the mission to perform cutting-edge research and development in interdisciplinary nanotechnology and to function as an innovation integrator in multiple application domains.

INL’s main scientific objectives are:

  1. Assure world class research excellence in all areas of activity,

  2. Develop partnerships with industry and foster the transfer of knowledge to create economic values and jobs,

  3. Train researchers and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce for the nanotechnology industry,

  4. Survey, prevent and mitigate nanotechnology risks.

The center provides a high-tech research environment to address major challenges of nanotechnologies, in four main areas: Health, Safety in Environmental and Food control, Renewable Energy, and ICT.
